Hi Paul!

...https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-6.12.21-20250415.zip fixes the out of memory errors when manipulating mixer controls.

Good results here!

CARD info
Code: [Select]
[G:\]unimix -card
Command line mixer for UNIAUD32. Version 1.1
Detected UNIAUD version 2.02.06
Detected 1 audio adapter(s)
Card info for adapter 0:
  num: 0
  id: SB
  driver: HDA-Intel
  name: HDA ATI SB
longname: HDA ATI SB at 0xfeb00000 irq 16
  mixer: Realtek ALC892
  componenets: HDA:10ec0892,1462640a,00100302

The last release I tested was your uniaud32-linux-6.2.12-20230414.zip drop, this booted fine, sounds worked but I always had a TRAP in mplayer (different mp4 streams, etc.).

This uniaud32-linux-6.12.21-20250415.zip does NOT exhibit this, so far so good!

Thank you!

I give a try on this latest uniaudio driver. Well, it seems to work very well and better as the AOs 5.1.1 provided one !

Paul, just for information: is there a Chance to enhance the driver to switch on/support the Cirrus CSE35L56 amp?

Thanks you very much!

Heh Paul!

Hi Mark, I suspect you won't see lockups with the 20250415 build :)

Doesn't have anything to do with Realtek this time, but can confirm today your UniAud 6.12.21 Build 2025/04/15 also works with the NVidia AD1988b audio chipset.

Thanks Mark - for the Realtek system, are you able to send me an alsa.log from 'copy alsahlp$ alsa.log' using the debug driver on a freshly booted system? I'll see if there is a 'fixup' that's missing.

Hi Paul!

Just saw this message from April 18 - sorry, was just a bit busy with a variety of things here in Canada. Will send the requested Alsa.log for the Realtek system tomorrow, May 1

Hope it will still be of use and Best!

Hi Paul!

As promised I installed UniAud Debug 6.12.21 Build April 15 and Generated ALSA.LOG for the Realtek 1988B system, which is attached below.

Hope it is still useful to you and apologies for the delay!
