Hi Remy,

Go to https://home.hccnet.nl/w.m.brul/usbvideo/index.html and select your webcam, or equivalent, then select the necessary program.

Not sure about sound as I don't have it on my main computer.

Hi Ivan,

I already was there but nothing works.
My system is SMP  -   USBEHCD.SYS  (ArcaOS latest level)
The  webcam is a 720p 30fps - defined as USBECD.SYS /D:046D:0825:0010

As has been mentioned multiple times, the latest (32-bit) ArcaOS Drivers do not support isochronous transfers which is necessary to have for USB audio and USB video.

You are stuck.

Hi Remy,

The URL given by Ivan points to my "USB Webcam Tests" web page, which is beta test software, not to be used anymore.
So remove the usbecd.sys line you added in config.sys for your webcam and use my "UVC Microscope Viewer" instead.

Regards, Wim.

The program gets this FF14 error when it tries to allocate resources for isochronous transfers.
Like Lars already said: isochronous transfers are not yet supported by the ArcaOS 12.x USB drivers.
Try and use the ArcaOS 11.17 drivers instead. Or use the latest Lars Erdmann USB driver set.

Hi Lars,

When will (32-bit) ArcaOS Drivers support isochronous transfers ?
In current periods with pandemic etc.... web conference and use of a webcam is more and more important.

Best regards
Rémy

When will (32-bit) ArcaOS Drivers support isochronous transfers ?

Isochronous transfers are fully supported for USB2 and have been for a while. I have no problems using Lars' USB Audio drivers with the AN stack.

I think someone's confusing the issue with USB3 where (IIUC) it is still under development.

Remy was using the 32-bit version of USBEHCD.SYS which is the USB 2.0 host controller driver.
And as far as I understood the readme, this version of USBEHCD.SYS does not support isochronous transfer. But the one from the 11.17 stack (16-bit) did.
Or has this now changed for the 32-bit version of USBEHCD.SYS ? If that is the case, then it will indeed be sufficient to just use my version of USBAUDIO.SYS / USBAUD2.SYS together with the AN stack.

USBEHCD.SYS does support isochronous transfer.
USBXHCD.SYS does not yet support isochronous transfer.

Thanks

Did you try and use your webcam with the ArcaOS 11.17 drivers? Did it work with these?
Did you try and use your webcam with the Lars Erdmann 10.234 drivers? Did it work with these?

When the answers to my 4 questions above are yes then it is time to use ArcaNoae's Mantis to report the problem.
