Forum RSS Feed

Hi, I notice that the RSS feed for the Forum link on the main page seems broken. The other 5 feeds links seem fine.

Hi Dave.

Is this one working for you?

If so, I will add it to main page.

Hi Martin, yes, that seems to work. Thanks.
Here's a test screeensaver module, the html2txt.dll needs to be on the LIBPATH.

Hi Dave, it is very nice. It actually brings the text.

Sorry to abuse the subject, but maybe you can take a look at this: https://github.com/OS2World/UTIL-WPS-Doodle-Screen-Saver/issues/3
I was hoping that maybe some of those open source modules can be ported to DSSaver if it is not too much work.

Yes, I should return to working on it as some point and give adding more modules a try. Those look fairly simple to port.
The CairoRSS module was originally written for Warpstock and I've just cleaned it up mostly. It could be extended in various ways as well. There's also some NLS stuff to be done.

This module got broken by the curl rpm update. Here's a rebuilt version using curl4.dll. Included is also a version for the Arca Noae feed.

Hi Dave

Thanks for updating this module.

Is HTML2TXT.DLL part of some other project? or did you made it for this module? I ask this because I want to see if I can document the HTML2TXT functions for the EDM/2.

Hi Martin,
I believe the original author, Robert Henschel, simply took the html2txt program and converted it to a DLL. The source itself has,
Code: [Select]
/*
 * Portions Copyright (c) 1999 GMRS Software GmbH
 * Carl-von-Linde-Str. 38, D-85716 Unterschleissheim, http://www.gmrs.de
 * All rights reserved.
 *
 * Author: Arno Unkrig <arno@unkrig.de>
 */
Followed by the GPL blurb. Going to http://unkrig.de/w/Html2txt the program seems to have been rewritten in Java. Searching does show the original man pages here and there.
I mostly updated it to use the system Cairo, curl and libxml2 and changed the hard coded URL.
