WebCam Driver Question

<< < (6/13) > >>

David McKenna:
Lars,

It turns out my initial instinct was correct: user error. Needed to define the volume on the wmaudio command. When I tried 'wmaudio /v100' I got a nice blast of feedback! Using 'wmaudio /v70' and the sound is heard from the speakers clearly and without delay. So it's all good!

Regards,

Hi Remy

Can you please share with me the HardwareID. I created this page: Logitech_QuickCam_Pro_9000
If you want you can also share with me the USB hardware report. Have you test mic recording?

Plays pcm wave audio from the Webcam Server. Acts as named pipe client.
Use "wmaudio" to connect the Webcam Monitor Audio to \PIPE\Webcam\Audio.
Use e.g "wmaudio /a1/v30" to play on audio adapter 1 at reduced volume.

Hi Wim

I wanted to test any kind of sound from my USB Webcam - Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam
I'm using "Webcam00-20210120.zip" and Lar's USBAUDIO.

I get this error:

--- Code: ---[X:\HOME\DOWNLOADS\WEBCAM00-20210120]webcam /a /n
started.
format:mjpg
 acquire webcam
 set configuration

 set audio frequency
 starting iso video
 set audio mike volume
 set audio alt interface
 starting iso audio

--- End code ---
The camera lights up. "wmvideo /n" works and provide video

And

--- Code: ---[X:\HOME\DOWNLOADS\WEBCAM00-20210120]wmaudio /a3 /v100

Hi Martin,

It works well using latest Arca USB drivers build.

With "Lar's USBAUDIO" do say that you installed audio.zip from usbdrv237.zip ?
[00000057] obtain audio error. This is SYS0087: The parameter is incorrect.
Please attach lsusb report of this camera for me to inspect.

Wim

Lars:
If Remy says "it works fine with ArcaOS drivers" I don't know what audio driver he actually uses. There was a dedicated 12.07 audio class 1.0 driver from AN but I think in the meantime, the AN USB stack also contains "our" drivers. To be clarified.

Anyway: I am currently doing heavy rework on USBAUDIF.DLL and also on the audio drivers. That will hopefully get us around the "unsupported format mode" error plus some other quirks. That's because DART uses the ampmixer which in turns calls into USBAUDIF.DLL which in turn calls into the audio drivers.
