The Config.sys Documentation Project
Martin Iturbide:
Hi
On the EDM/2 wiki we have this project called "The Config.sys Documentation Project".
The idea is to try to document all the things we can find about the everything that goes on the config.sys, all the drivers, SET, etc, etc...
I had been quietly adding all the drivers I had been able to find, try to put the syntax, parameters and examples if I can get some.
I need help, if you have some driver that you use, with xyz parameters that you use and it is not listed on the "The Config.sys Documentation Project" please let me know to add those.
You can post you comments and suggestion on this thread.

Hi Martin,
the linked ACPI.PSD page misses important switches:
* PSD=ACPI.PSD /MAXCPU=1
Only one CPU is used.
* PSD=ACPI.PSD /CPUMASK=1
Only CPU 1 is used. The arg describes which CPU or CPUs are active and which not. It's a combination of bit-wise switches.
It's good that the /VW (virtal wire) option is not present. It's outdated since a few years and will hopefully not be required for newer versions (I'm not sure).
See
--- Code: ---start view psd_en.inf "The ACPI.PSD command line"
--- End code ---
for an almost full description.

Bonjour to all,
This post won't be of any help here, but it reminds me of the (in)famous ConfigTool from Goran Ivankovic and Klaus Staedtler-Przyborski...
["Hi!" To them from here, whereever they are.].
Those were the times. ;)
CU all !

Hi Guilliaume.
We already merged the ConfigTool info with this project. I checked and many of the text is the same of the ConfigTool.

Have a look at this DOS help file. I rebuild it regularly.
http://www.os2fan2.com/files/doshlp21.zip is the help file
http://www.os2fan2.com/files/doshlpex.zip is the engine to read it.
It's QBasic 1.1, modified so as not to read the ram diskette every read, and to use QBED for EDIT. The dos6 command starts the help file.
It's a fairly complete documentation of DOS 5, 6 and 7 (MS and PC dos), from my MSDOS63 project.
