Neil Waldhauer:
If Hobbes would support .rpm files, it should be in a repository that I can add to ANPM or my YUM repository list.

It would have to be set up as a repository and have all the needed metadata.
Easiest is to set up a local rpm repository for loose rpm's.
If you want directions, start a thread.

Neil Waldhauer:
I'm not sure how a local repository would help. If someone uploads a .RPM to Hobbes, how would my local repository know about the new file?

Dave Yeo:
You'd have to populate the local repository by hand.

Martin Iturbide:
Hello.

"RPM on Hobbes": It didn't mean that Hobbes will turn into a RPM server, but to store some .rpm files that are on the wild. But Neils questioning is interesting. How useful is to have a .rpm package outside a RPM server? You can install it manually, but downloading the file, but the convenience of having RPM/yum to list, download the file and let you know any update is not there.

But on the other side we are starting to have some .rpm for OS/2 software on the wild that is not on the netlabs rpm server. (Ex Featherpad, Feathernotes). Should it be easier to upload the .rpm files on the wild on Netlabs? I don't know the process of uploading rpm files on netlabs.
