I have a crazy idea about https://hobbes.nmsu.edu/?path=/pub/dos/games

Maybe, it't time to upload some old games like Lode Runner? It will not violate copyrights...

Hi Sergey

I think it will be good to upload DOS games (freeware, shareware, demos) that had been tested to work fine under OS/2 VDM. If it requires any tip, trick or any configuration to run better on OS/2 DOS VDM, it may be included on a readme file.

If someone wants to add more DOS games I will be glad if he/she can keep the same game structure that we have for the OS/2 games, like:
- action
- adventure
- board
- casino
- educ
- misc
- packs
- patches
- puzzle
- sport
- strategy
- tools
- toys

Let's create directories.
I will upload old games with *.txt files.

Hi
Let's create directories.
I will upload old games with *.txt files.

The directories are created at the moment the uploads are processed. So just upload them and put them on the directory it applies and it will be created.

Hi

I think that "/pub/os2/server" is almost ready. It's a new category and feedback is always welcome. I'm not  a server guy, maybe someone with more experience putting their servers on OS/2 can check if I missed something.

Hi

I think I'm going to start with "/dev/samples" and organize source code samples:

Dev
--Samples
----Drivers
----PM
----WPS

I will start just moving some little things and see how "/dev" shapes.

Perhaps also a misc or such sub-directory for ones that don't fit elsewhere such as full screen cmd sessions?

Thanks Dave, I will also try to create the /misc and see how the "/dev/samples" get into shape after populating it.

I was thinking something like:
Dev
--Samples
----Drivers
----PM
----WPS
--Tools
----IDE
----Compilers
----Util
----Version
----Design
----Documentation
----Database
--DLL
--LIB

Hi

I started to reorganize things on /dev. For the moment I have this structure:

Dev
--Info
----Articles
----Books
--Libraries
----Graphics
----Hardware
----Misc
--Runtimes
----c
----Misc
----REXX
--Samples
----Drivers
----Misc
----PM
----WPS
--Tools
----Make
----Toolkits

And I keep going little by little reorgnizing the /app and /util

Hi

Where should be a good place to place Agena and Lua on the /dev ?

I'm thinking like something on  /dev/tools/????, but I don't know yet. Any suggestions?

Tools or languages. Strictly speaking they're programming (scripting?) languages which can be considered a tool.

Languages.

Not general-purpose but still languages.

What about putting Agena and Lua on "/dev/tools/scripting" ??

And for the rest I will follow something like
- /dev/tools/c
- /dev/tools/cplusplus
- /dev/tools/smalltalk
..etc

Agena is a language, an old-fashioned Algol-68 in XXI age.

C and C++ aren't tools but languages.

How I see the structure is that if the directory is called " /dev/tools/smalltalk" it meas that it stores development Tools for the smalltalk language.
