What is European Software Solutions - XEU.com ?

Today I was checking Mensys site and I found that it started to reference XEU.com.

On it's web site it says that one of their main software package is eCS/2 (or eComStation). It seems to be a branch of Mensys, or a company that it separating from Mensys to be focused on software development.

Does anybody know about it? Is it old news that I just found out?

Interesting - domain whois shows:
Registrant Name: M.B. Jong de
Registrant Organization: Sneldohwa B.V.
Registrant Street: Crayenestersingel 65
Registrant City: HAARLEM

So certainly looks like it was created by Mensys.

There are two possibilites I guess:

- another investor took over
- a management buy out

-> Unfortunately we have - like with status of eCs - no official informations....  

XEU is - regarding wikipedia - "The European currency unit" - what would match the other Software Portfolio of xeu.com - related to banking stuff.

Best of all the Original statement:

The two main software packages that have been developed by the XEU software developement team are:
- IBANC, a software package that enables users to execute large volume SEPA payments and direct debits.
- ECS/2, a software package that allows users of OS/2 apllications to run those applications on today's hardware.

I'm planning to send a friendly email to Mensys and XEU requesting more information about what is happening on this days.

For the moment my plan is to write an email to the four Mensys persons I have the emails. :

- Menso de Jong - CEO
- Gerrit Schoenmaker
- Roderick Klein
- Joachim Benjamins

I need contacts on XEU to also send the letter to. Expecially the CEO. If anybody knows a way to get more information about this company and their members please let me know.

I plan to post the letter here before sending it. Please let me know your questions.

I see no reason to check before posting this, it's reasonably straight forward and it
will clear up somethings. I have no relationship to Mensys and/or xeu.com apart
from being a customer and information broker )

XEU.com /European Software Solutions/ limited is focusing on software
development and support for our own software products, including
eComStation.

So from now on your support and invoicing will formally be from XEU.com
bv. But the same people will be involved with eCS so for the rest
nothing changes for you

Hi Martin,

I received it a while ago, it was more to do with back end stuff and not a customer email but I see nothing in it that is sensitive so there it is. I'm surprised there hasn't been an official announcement yet. It is possible they are still sorting out the system split etc before a general announcement (maybe) as I've noticed there have been a few website hiccups.

Think it has a lot to do with resources (limited). This is purely conjecture on my part.

I still think that is valid to send them a friendly email requesting some public response about the new strategy and making some question.  And also remembering that there is an OS2-eCS community here with individuals that wants to keep on this platform.

I will try to write something and post it here tonight for correction/suggestions.

Questions are welcome, and if somebody finds the name of XEU CEO I will appreciate it.  The XEU.com team seems to be young and have presence on LinkedIn, so I hope we can have some synergy with the community.

The Mensys team concerned with eCS were 2 to 3 people. Which team do you await from the XEU team? I guess we have to live with one and an half manpower for that.

Yes and No.

Sadly, the only thing that I'm sure about, it is that nobody is going to do the things for us. We will need to work out by ourself to make this platform open and free to don't depend on a single vendor anymore. But nobody can do it alone, we need to put all the efforts to together to continue.
