Flash 0.4.2 - 24.02.2014.
« on: February 25, 2014, 05:47:37 pm »
Hi.

There is a new version of Flash (0.4.2) released by bitwise works.  It should be available on the Mensys site, but I can not find where to download it from.
http://svn.ecomstation.nl/flash10

I had checked 1)Mensys.nl site (Xeu.com BV Mensys B.V. Software Subscription Services for eComStation (valid for 12 months)) and eComStation betazone, but it is not available on any of those sites..

If anybody knows about it or where to get it, please let me know to make the announcement on OS2World.

Regards.

If that's helpful, you may try writing an email to rwklein at xs4all.nl or at mensys.nl.

Hi All

Looking at http://svn.ecomstation.nl/flash10 it seems this build was only released in the last 24 hours. I suspect that it will take a day,  or several :-) , before it appears in the Download section when logged in at mensys.

Note to self: Must remember to check Mensys Download section again in a couple of days.

Regards

Pete

Just a small note:
We (bww bitwise works GmbH) delivered all information to Mensys. How long it will take till they upload it is out of our scope.
All we can advise is to send an email to Mensys and request to have it available.

Hi,

I've just downloaded and tested the new Flash version, and it works wonderfully running under eCS 2.1. Thanks to the Bitwise developers and those pushing so it has become available to eCS users on software subscription.  If this is indicative of the work at Bitwise, this is indeed good news for eCS users!

My software subscription license runs out in a few weeks, and this positive sign that good things have not ceased to happen regarding eCS means I am about to renew.

Hi All

I have to agree with Eirik that Flash 0.4.2 seems to work well except that it seems the Settings dialog displays, does not work at all and cannot be dismissed except by closing the video.

If anyone else is seeing this I've created a Ticket that you might want to add to http://svn.ecomstation.nl/flash10/ticket/102#ticket

Also, like Eirik, my Software Subscription is due to run out - in a couple of days in fact.

I think I'm more likely to re-subscribe based on the fact that Mensys have produced a fair amount of driver updates - ACPI, AHCI, Panorama and USB amongst them and, of course, we are not (hopefully) that far off an eCS 2.2 GA

Anyway, back to Flash: Good job Bitwise, playback seems smooth with good audio and video on the few clips I've tried so far.

Regards

Pete

I have the same problem with it as with 0.4.1. When playing a video the system will reboot at some point, sometimes just after the video has finished.. Unusable.

I closed your ticket already, because it was a duplicate of http://svn.ecomstation.nl/flash10/ticket/29#ticket

We still have no idea what this could cause. As we have no trap screen we can't do anything atm.

I know.  There is no trap screen. If it is possible to log something that would be helpful via the com port I can do that.

Do you have a sound driver installed ? If yes, I suggest to REM it out in config.sys and see if the trap/reboot goes away.
