Where do I find hd4disk.add, acpi4.sys ?
« on: January 15, 2014, 12:24:30 am »
I have read about these drivers but they are not contained in the OS/4 package ? Is there any place I can find them ?

 Lars,

hd4disk.add is in the QS_LDR package in the 'ramdisk' directory. I don't know about acpi4.sys... was wondering about that myself...

It would be nice if there was a list of the URLs where all these parts are kept - including the updates.

QSINIT (including the RAMDISK that uses memory above 4 GB) is at:

ftp://212.12.30.18/public/QS/

Note that you do need to use the QSINIT loader, to be able to use the RAMDISK.

QSINIT has NOTHING to do with OS/4 (which includes acpi4). They are separate projects. At the moment, I have no interest in OS/4, but I am pretty sure that the URL was posted in one of these threads.

Be aware, that there is some concern about the legality of OS/4. Whether that is justified, or not, I don't know. QSINIT is a completely new work, NOT based on previous work, although it does share a few similarities, and some history, with the OS/4 loader.

Hopefully, the URL is correct now...

acpi4.sys is not yet released. Some testers received it for alfa testing.

acpi4.sys also will not have suspend feature, so I am not sure you'll be interested in it...
