Hi Lars,

I am confused. Are you saying that you have built-in speakers or speakers/headphones attached to a connector other than USB that you think still attach to USB internally?
I certainly cannot test that, I only test devices that have a USB connector and can be plugged into a USB port.

See https://www.os2world.com/wiki/index.php/ZX01_Mini_PC_Intel_N5105

There is a headphone socket on the case - but it seems that internally, this is connected to a USB Audio adapter within the case.

'testlog generic' shows:
Controller 0: USBXHCD$
Root Hub 0 (14 ports) 8086:4DED
  Port 3: Device 8087:0A2A  FS
Port 5: Device 046D:C52B (HID)-(Keyboard)(HID)-(Mouse)(HID) FS Logitech, Inc.
Port 6: Device 0573:1573 (Audio)-(Class 1)(Audio)-(Class 1)(HID) FS Zoran Co. Personal Media Division (Nog
Port 13: Device 0930:6545 (MSD)-(SCSI)-(BO) SS Toshiba Corp.
----- USBD$ CS=07A0 DS=0798 ----------------------------------------------------

Hope this helps...

Cheers,

Paul

An easy way to test: just comment out the USB audio drivers in config.sys and check if it still produces sound...

Ok that's interesting, yes there is a USB audio device attached to port 6. Obviously, they "pulled in" the whole USB audio device into the computer and just left that standard headphone jack to attach to. Yes that will only be usable with USB. and because it's an XHCI only system, you need the updated USBXHCD driver.
