Looking for a boxed set of Borland C++ v. 2.0
(1/1)
MrclSchprs:
In line with the motto 'nothing ventured, nothing gained', I am looking for a boxed set of Borland C++ for OS/2 version 2.0.
The software and documentation will be used by three students for a minor research project. Not only am I their supervisor for this project, there is also a sentimental aspect: they are going to expand or expand an interfacing application that I wrote myself as a student in 1997. The source code has been preserved, unfortunately the compiler and associated documentation have not. Hence, my search for a boxed set of Borland C++ for OS/2 version 2.0.
In the unlikely event that you have a set collecting dust and you are willing to part with it, please let me know.
Thank you!

Welcome to the forum MrclSchprs.
I hope you get the box for Borland C++ 2.00 some day.
About your project, what it can be interesting is, if you make it compile with Borland, it would also be interesting if you can also make the software compile with GCC (open source C compiler) under OS/2 too.
I had wrote some little articles and updated some PM demos to compile with GCC.
If you can share the source code of you minor research project, I will gladly publish it on the OS2World github.

I downloaded this some time back, seems to work. As Martin said, assuming the code is all 32 bit, GCC will likely compile it though it is much much more picky about the quality of the code.
