Martin, send me some pics of the icons.  I have not used 2.11 in 30 Years.  Don't remember much about the icons.

Ohh, you got me there. Even that I have an OS2 2.x VM, it does has all files as .ICO in the HDD. I will need someone that can let me know what will be the beast way to copy all the OS/2 icons in one shot.

I was playing around with the object desktop folders.

Tested on desktop.  Not sure if working with earlier icons is worth the effort.

Hello Martin,

most icons are packed in DLL files. These can be extracted with Martin Lafaix's Resource Decompiler, for example. I quickly tried the pmwp.dll and the pmviop.dll. The result is in the ZIP file.

I am still looking for more images as soon as there is some time for it.

The difference between the two is that "SET BIGICONSPATH=" is correct (i.e. that's what the code looks for) while "SET BIGICONS=" is incorrect (i.e. the code doesn't look for this). The fact that AN has been putting the wrong entry in config.sys for the last 6 years doesn't change things. My only question is why it took someone 6 years to notice the error.

FWIW... I was the one who transformed "Sunny Icons" into "Dynamic Icons", so maybe I was the one who gave them the wrong info. If so, I apologize for the error.

I guess it took 6 years as nobody has felt the need to actually relocate the icons. 

As for who is responsible for the error, I lifted the code section from the eCoSoft icon package verbatim, without validating it. Thus, the problem exists in Sunny Icons and its icon package, as well (so longer than 6 years, there). I should have looked at the code, where it is fairly obvious what the variable should be. Oh, well.

I was looking at adding Samba server png icons to the packages.  The latest version is a zip file and installs nothing.  The earlier version is a Warpin file.  Everytime I tried to install it, the system hung.  I tried it on two different partitions.  I was looking for icon ids, but without a proper install, I am manually trying to figure out what icon goes to what exe file.

So right now, the easiest thing is to upload the new icons here,   Download, unzip, and assign each icon to the program object it goes with.  Eventually, they may end up in the Bigicon packages.

Don't download anymore of the themes.  There will be one more update for all.  Found a few more things I missed.  I also found answers to some major problems that have alluded me.  In the next releases, all the old OS/2 icons should be replaced.  If there are some that don't update, reset the program object for those.  It should no longer be a mix of old and new icons.  I am slowly going through all the themes.   It may be a few days before I upload.  Guys, I am thrilled.  These few remaining problems have eluded me for months.  I think you will like all the major corrections.

I want a little input.  I am thinking about changing the network drive icon.  I uploaded a  pic of the another that can be used.  Which icon do you prefer. the old or the new?

I can add some of the samba icons to the packages if you want.  If so, I need the *.exe for the restart samba, start samba, and stop samba to assign icons to.

I would say that 80a is very nice for local network drives while 80 for remote network drives (e.g. in cloud)

I like both. But if I had to choose, maybe I prefer the old one (drive-network_80a.png ), it looks more light to me.

Thanks David..   WPSWizard, man that was a long time ago.  I like the BigIcons better.  They are easier to work with once one has his templates.

There was a folder stick theme l liked, but cannot recall the name of the theme.

I have trying to figure out why one of two of the epm folders will not use a PNG icon. I think it has something to do with no object id along with an assigned number in the Icon O date and Icon 1 data.  It looks like normally an object with no object ID has no 0 and 1 icon data. See the attachments.  NEPMD assigns some kind of number that cannot be changed.

HB Object Inspector.  It is ashame Herwig never completed what he had planned.  I would have gladly paid money for the completed version.

There will be one more version of the themes.

When I tried to clean up the bigicons.txt file, I deleted a couple of things I should not have.  Missed one folder that needed to be added to the txt file.  I am also going to make the RAM drives look like RAM disk instead of the rounded hard drives.  It will apply only to the X and Y drives.  Presently, you can only assign set drives letters for the RAM drives.  The * does not work.  I chose X and Y drives because most formatted drives are at the beginning letters and other type drives seem to use the middle letters.  So when you create your RAM drives, use drive letters X and Y for them.  That change will be in the next release.  Also, the pink and looking glass themes will have the glass appearance added to the Appearance folder that is found in the BigIcons_Ice theme.

Shame if the ram disk drive letters are hard coded. Personally H: is my ram disk, X: is for TVFS (currently usually unused) and Y: is/was a development environment.
Wonder if doing something like putting in config.sys before the SET BIGICONSPATH= something like SET RAM_DRIVE_LETTER=X: then in your big icons file, use %RAM_DRIVE_LETTER% instead of X:
Need testing and not sure if the environment will carry over. Variable name can be different too.

I have to hard code it in the big icon.txt file. I can make them  drive h and whatever most people are agreeable with. H shall be one of the selections. How about I for the other? You can still use other drive letters for the RAM disk.  It will just show the rounded hard drive Icons.

I could add a readme for the RAM disk telling how to change the ram drive letter to the one you want.
