smp.inf - Adendum
Martin Iturbide:
Hello
Just checking a little bit on the EDM/2 for dead links, I found there is a "SMP Programming Addendum" (smp.inf) (Nov 1996), that I can not find the file.
Any idea where was it shipped? or any link to it?
I guess this should not be confused with "OS/2 for SMP V2.11 Reference" (also SMP.INF - First Edition (June 1994) ). Those are different files with the same name, right?
Regards
Lars:
There was an updated SMP.INF called "SMP Programming Addendum". I think I have that floating around somewhere and I cannot remember where I got it from.

I have two different versions in my file inventory (one on WarpServer 4 Adv SMP and one on devcon12 cd 2). Same file name, different dates, and different content, see screenshot.
The title of both help files is identical. I've uploaded both here. I suspect that the version from November might be the one we're looking for.

And according to
http://www.edm2.com/index.php/What's_New_in_the_Developer's_Toolkit_for_OS/2_Warp_Version_3_SMP_Update
it should be located on CD 3 of DEvCon12. And indeed: there is also a file SMP.INF with file date 22-oct-1996 (11:07:30) and file size 983712 bytes. Location: \toolkits\smptkv3\toolkit\book.
Steven Levine:
To keep this interesting, there is a 3rd version of the November, 1996 smp.inf. This one adds the definition for the CVK_CMD_SCANPCB packet command.
