XWP Problem - Shut down
« on: July 03, 2024, 09:14:16 pm »
I have just updated xwp 1.0.16 on one of my computers and found a problem or I'm missing something.

All my earlier installs of xwp  actually shut down the computers when I use the extended shut down - 1.0.16 closes the OS but does NOT actually shut the computer down which is what I expect.  Am I doing something wrong or have I missed some setting?

Hello Ivan

Just in case, can you check the settings first to rule out is not a configuration problem? Check on the desktop, right click and "Properties" on the XShutdown tab. Check that "Power off computer" is enabled.

Regards

Thanks Martin, I had completely forgotten about that - now I can finish restoring that computer.

Memo to self: Never let a rabid Window$ user use an OS/2 computer - they will mess it up.
