Disable Touchpad in config.sys. AMOUSE ?
(1/1)
Martin Iturbide:
Hello
I think I remember someone posting a technique to disable the touchpad with AMOUSE on the config.sys.
Did I remember correctly? was it with AMOUSE or a different technique?
I want to give it a try to disable the touchpad and just keep the trackpoint in a T14s (without messing with the BIOS) and Thinkpad Yoga 14.
Regards
Doug Bissett:
--- Code: ---DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBMOUSE.SYS /DEVICE:1
--- End code ---
does it on my Lenovo L530.
I would suggest, that it is better to do it in the BIOS, if the setting exists.
Martin Iturbide:
Thanks for the feedback Doug.
I tried it. On the case of the Thinkpad T14s, it disabled the Trackpoint and Trackpad at the same time, allowing me only to use an external USB mouse.
I would prefer to disable the trackpad via software, since this machine has dual boot and sometimes I need the trackpad on Windows. But this machine has a way to disable only the trackpad on the BIOS. I will return to that setting.
Thanks.
