A nice paper on DD Development on OS/2

(1/1)

Leonardo:
Just for those who don't know about this paper I leave the link:

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/2624613_A_Flat_Model_Base_Device_Driver_For_OS2

It's from the late era of IBM, but it was never implemented or added to the core

Martin Iturbide:
Thanks Leonardo.

I think this article was on the "Developer Connection News" and I got permission to republish it.

I guess it is the same. I don't know if that version has some graphics I may be missing. I don't remember if the source was only text.

Regards

Leonardo:
The paper it's the same but the listings are incomplete. I have it printed and the 32bit version of the driver is not available on the EDM article. I requested access to the paper to compare. In case the listings are not complete on the PDF I could scan the document.

Martin Iturbide:
Hello Leonardo.

I updated the EDM/2 pages just to show it better and now the two versions links that I found are available:

Let me know the differences and I will try to improve the EDM/2 wiki.

Regards

Roderick Klein:
I wonder if David his 32 bit driver development toolkit is of more use as it takes some stuff away from the developer such and pointer thunking.

Roderick
