OS/2, eCS & ArcaOS - Technical > Setup & Installation
BonusPak installation, fail.
Dan Eicher:
Using the installation notes here:
https://www.arcanoae.com/wiki/arcaos/post-install-tips-hints/installing-ibm-works-on-arcaos/
Took OS/2 4 CD, and copied /bonuspak directory to:
d:\fi\bonuspak\ibmworks
Modified source and media drives set to d: in bpbase.rsp
Ran ibmworks.cmd from the command line.
Very quickly, I get a line that says ibmworks...
another checking ...
and yet another checking ...
Then the window closes.
Looking at the log file, I see this:
I don't think I have a bonuspakbase.rsp here, just: bpbase.rsp
Martin Iturbide:
Hello
I want to help, but I haven't touch IBM Works in years. On Which CD-ROM is the "d:\fi\bonuspak\ibmworks" directory?.
Which Warp 4 CD is that?
I have only found the Bonuspack on Warp 3 and IBM Works 2.00 installs fine. But I think I'm missing the right CD, since I guess IBM Works latest version is 3.00.
Was there any patch for IBM Works? Or 3.00 is the latest version?
Regards
Lars:
1) do not create a directory "d:\bonus_pak" and copy your ibmworks files to that dir. Instead, download the ibmworks.zip provided by ArcaNoae, extract that directly to the root of a drive (that can also be a RAM drive). The zip will create a directory structure FI\bonuspak\ibmworks which is essential for the ibmworks.cmd file to work properly. Now, copy your IBMWORKS files to that ibmworks subdirectory.
2) make sure you run ibmworks.cmd from the directory it is located in
3) The ibmworks.cmd file has a bug. Changes these lines (to):
srcdir=directory()||'\fi' (note the additional backslash)
rsp1=directory()||'\bpbase.rsp' (note the additional backslash)
