There's a couple of possible fixes. Simplest is to temporarily move usr/include/poll.h out of the way and rerun configure. Second is to use the attached poll library and add LIBS=-lpoll to your configure line, or do make LIBS=-lpoll (poll_s.a needs to be findable)
Third is to use libcx (LIBS=-lcx). Then you have to add some includes to the source as libcx also includes gettaddriinfo() and friends. The include is <libcx/net.h>. I forget the best places to put the include, might have been in libavformat/os_support.h or libavformat/network.c.
it's really strange you needed such a complex patch to mathops.h when I didn't need it here. Which GCC are you using?
