Call for presenters - User meeting Colgne 2014

(1/2) > >>

Thomas M.:
As already announced a user meeting will be held in Cologne on the 29th of November 2014.
The last meeting was somekind of surprise concerning the topics, as we did not know who and how many users would take part.

This time we know that quite a lot people are interested in this meeting and different users already declared that they very much would like to come. So for this time we would like to do a little organization in advance.
Some of the participants of the meeting in 2013 declared last time, they would like to do a presentation of something they are working on. We very much appreciated this announcement and do now ask to renew this commitment.

So Sigurd's and my (Thomas) questions are:

- who is willing to do a presentation and on what kind of topic?
- what kind of topics are the visitors / users interested in?
- who intends to visit the meeting?
- do you have any suggestions to be considered by us?
- ...

The meeting will be held in

Please consider to do your booking in time.

So far for now.
We are curious for your suggestions, comments, ...

Cheers

Thomas and Sigurd

Sigurd Fastenrath:
Hi,

it is allways a pleasure for me to organize something with Thomas together!

I do have two Suggestions:

1. Especially fo those who do have a longer journey and do arrive on Friday - I would like to have a meeting wihtout topic, just to share fun and meet and greet in the Friday Evening :-)

2. I would like to held a lottery on Saturday, as I do have some OS/2 compatible hardware (Mainboard, Graphiccard, RAM....) that I would like to give away. The Fortunes will be free of charge, if someone would like to donate some money for the User Meeting 2015 he/she is welcomed :-)

Martin Iturbide:
Hi Thomas, Sigurd.

If it is not too much to ask, please try to get a volunteer to video record the presentations, take pictures and/or make a live IRC channel with some live video/audio streaming.
Since there is some time maybe you can work some things out. To make a live audio streaming can be as simple as having an Android/iOS phone connected to the local wifi.

Like always I'm interested on promoting this event and also sharing with the community any kind of material that this meeting can produce.

I'm also available for a presentation via WebConference using Skype or Google's Hangout.

Regards
