Ian Manners:
Hi Ivan,
Different lines with different providers and provider owned DSLAM's.
All back up properly now, the phone numbers were ok but someone cancelled my username at the provider, that's been put back and the static IP reapplied so all good again, I shouldn't complain as it could have taken a lot longer to sort out.
It was very precis at my end, about 2359Hrs and boom, DSLAM exchange connection ok but no session.
so midnight must be when account cancellations go through, when there is no customer service people around :)
Martin Iturbide:
I'm starting to get a post-hobbes off line depression. I hope it get backs soon.
Andreas Schnellbacher:
Hobbes is back - at least partly.
Martin Iturbide:
Hi
Hobbes is back, but I was told that the incoming directory view is not enabled. I think it means, you can upload software via ftp, but you can not see what it is on it. So we will have to wait until the "incoming" stuff is moved to the "new" directory to see it. Am I understanding it right? Or is there any way you can see the things on the incoming folder.
Regards
Dave Yeo:
If you search for something in incoming such as SeaMonkey, files in incoming are returned. At that point you can download it. Just tested with http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/download/pub/incoming/seamonkey-2.21b1en-US.os2.txt
So you just need to know it is there.
Notice also that using ftp to browse incoming returns an empty directory :(
