Screen Recording
(1/1)
melf:
From the latest java GA5, it is now possible to run the screen recording program KRUT, to be found at http://krut.sourceforge.net/ . It works very well and stores movies in *.mov format. It seem require some more CPU power than my T43 can offer if you want to capture a full screen video smoothly. There is however a "follow mouse" option, which can be used if you choose a smaller area to be captured. On my sample movie I forget to move the mouse at some point and for a while you can't see me writing.
Would be nice to hear how it works for people with more powerful computers.
The sample movie is here: http://elfonnet.nu/pics/krut.mov
Martin Iturbide:
Thanks Melf for letting us know. I will try it.
Let's see if we can upload some eCS-OS2 screen videos on YouTube easily :)
MrJinx:
I didn't hear any sound in the video, Do you get this message in the console window?
[C:\programs\Krut]C:\programs\openjdk\jre\bin\java.exe -jar KRUT.jar

Other than sound not working , It seems to work pretty good.

Yes, same message. Seems as sound is not implemented in Odin, http://svn.netlabs.org/java/ticket/92 .
