Clipgrab?¿?¿
« on: May 07, 2015, 10:57:03 pm »
Has anybody had any luck making this app work? All I seem to be able to get is "error creating SSL content"! it also says ffmpg is an ancient version and can't download 1080p videos from UTube.

Thanks,  klipp

Don't know what clipgrab is but youtube changes often enough that you need pretty current software to download content from there.
Likewise with FFmpeg, you want fairly new versions to display the latest.

Hi Dave, It says i'm using an out-dated version of ffmpeg, the readme says to use ffmpeg-os2-r26099-fix1r2 or newer. I don't know what a good choice would be for a newer version. Have you put out a newer version?

Thanks  klipp

There are newer versions on Hobbes, http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/h-search.php?button=Search&key=ffmpeg&dir=%2F
I could upload a newer version if needed, be a while due to bandwidth shortage

Hi Klip

For me it works fine.

But you use latest clipgrab 1.4.9 ?

You also have ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/qtapps/QtNet4_Fix_SSL.zip installed ?

See: trac.netlabs.org/qtapps/ticket/98

And try to get most newer FFmpeg, i hope Dave will upload newest.

Hi TeLLie, Thanks for the reply, I'm using clipgrab-3.4.9-os2 and installed the the newer QtNet4.dll. After screwing with it and getting nothing to work, I dug deeper and found out QT4 was screwed up -- I had downloaded it using yum and it sent me directly to "DLL-HELL"!  Sooo, It'll be a while before I get it up and running --- got too many "irons in the fire" to spend a lot of time on it right now.

Delete all your Trolltech.ini files in %HOME% (they'll be rebuilt, hopefully with the correct locations of the QT DLLs) and put @unixroot\usr\lib at the front of your LIBPATH.
