Need a couple of .DLL's
« on: September 03, 2015, 02:08:32 am »
Does anybody know where I can download VBoxXCOM.dll and VBoxXPCOM.dll? I've searched every place I know of and havn't been able to come up with them.

Thanks for any help,  klipp

Why would you want them? It's not like they're going to (easily) work on OS/2. They may have come with one of the really early builds of vbox for OS/2 as if I remember correctly, you needed Win32k.sys to run the first builds to get around the long named DLL issue.
My vbox install has VBoxXCOM.dll.

Hi Dave, They are both needed when trying to compile the Frontends for the newer VBox builds for OS/2.

You sure it hasn't been given a short (8.3) name?

Hi once more Dave, I think you are right about VBoxXPCOMM.dll, or its an error thats been carried forward from the early days, clear up to version 4.2.32!   I was however mistaken in saying that its needed for os2, its needed for Windoz. VBoxXCOMM.dll is needed for for compiling os2 and got me a bit further in the compile. Thanks again.
