Title: Microsoft Office and ODIN
Post by: danielnez1 on October 17, 2017, 10:57:10 pm
Hi all,

Over the past year or so I've tried to install Microsoft Office 97 and 2000 using ODIN 0.8.9 without much luck. The office applications on the Office 97 CD seem to run ok straight off the CD (with a few glitches). However, as the setup program has a 16 bit stub, it is necessary to run acmsetup.exe and copy the the whole CD to a temporary directory that is normally created by setup.exe. The setup process goes fine at first, until a short way into the file copying stage when it throws up "Setup cannot create the folder C:\var\lib" and can't complete the installation.

I was wondering if anyone has had more success with Office?

Thanks :D
