You unpack the Zip on Windows, and start the program. It launches as a CMD program.
Then you can point your browser to the address of the host, port 8080. You type your desired address into the address bar at the top.
There are AppImages, so you can install that Linux.

Jasper-libs-2.0.22-1.c00 is in netlabs-rel but contains jasper.dll, not jasper1.dll

I messed around with the Ubuntu Traditional theme. The folders are similar to the orange glossy theme, however, they are yellow.  The icons are placed on the folders similar to the Ubuntu theme.  I tried to use more of the Ubuntu icons on the folders and the options programs in the system setup folder when possible.  I replaced a few (very few) program icons.  I did not replace the drive icons because I think the ones we already use are better.

Hi TNG999

How does it works? Do you have to install the proxy on a Windows/Linux machine? or it some cloud service?

Hi Andi B.
I understand the problem for people with high resolution screen usually found in modern Notebooks. But I think it should be possible with current version to set all controls to the needed bigger fonts. This setting should survive restarts. I'm I right Martin?

If yes I think it's not high priority to invest much time in this and so there's nothing which I can do in near future. F.i. the (rare) crashes and some leak in currently unknown system resources are more important IMO.

I just wait on Martins response and if there is no real show stopper (f.i. some controls can't be changed to usable fonts) I'll create a ticket with all the valuable infos from Rich. Maybe some time someone finds the time to make a more elegant solution for that.
Like you said, this is not high priority. For me it is a "nice to have", it is not a bug. If there are no resources to do this, I think it is fine just to document it with a ticket.

Regards

Applications / Nomacs Image Viewer
« Last post by Bernhard Pöttinger on April 23, 2024, 02:46:53 pm »
Hello,
I have tried nomacs image viewer, downloaded from netlabs. The newest OS/2 version 2.4.6. When I try to start the app a get an error the the file jasper1 is missing. The jasper1.dll is called from raw15.dll in the nomacs directory.

Does anybody know where I can find this dll. "yum whatprovides" commando does not show anything and searching the web does not bring some light to me.

BTW version 2.4.2 does run well.

best regards
Bernhard

It works great..  Can use all the Office 365 web apps in it just fine and anything else I've been able to throw at it.

-m

I think I'll give it a try, even though I really want a modern OS/2 browser.

there are 5 entries [...] and you map them to your categories.

FWIW... you're not limited to just the 3 default fonts. Rather, you can use these entries as guidelines for setting the correct size of your preferred typeface. For example, if lcmd uses 'Helv' somewhere, you can get the entry for the category (say, "menu") but only pay attention to the size (use 'atol(...)). If 'Helv' has that point size, use it. Otherwise, go up or down at point _or_ substitute WarpSans (non-bold).

Do all this during init and save the results so you don't have to duplicate a lot of code. (Note: the default values in 'os2.ini' will never change during a session - they're only updated during shutdown - so there's no need to check for  new values.)
