Isn't that enough explanation about the differences - ?

XWorkplace unofficial versions by AB
Author:          Andreas Buchinger
Last update:     20210612

This version is build from official netlabs svn repository with the following
changes -

1) Power off/shutdown delay (apm.c) is set to 250ms in official builds. This
time is known to be too short for some systems. One of my system sporadically
does not fully switch off with this setting. 500ms works most of the time but it
needs 700ms to shut down reliable. My XWP builds defaults to 700ms. But you can
configure your own value by setting XWP_SHUTDOWN_DELAY environment variable.
F.i. adding 'SET XWP_SHUTDOWN_DELAY=1500' in config.sys increases the delay to
1500ms. Values from 250 to 3100 are allowed. Check setting 'Write XSHUTDWN.LOG
file' (Desktop - Properties - XShutdown) and an entry will be created for that
in this file in your %LOG% directory.

2) My XWP builds still uses the standard shutdown dialog with configurable names
for reboot options.

I think a similar text is on the wiki page too. Maybe I should say it more clearly that it's build from the code base as of Juli 2021.

I usually install the package which is at over the one which is installed with ArcaOS. And this works at least for me. Maybe Rich has some local changes which he did not check into netlabs svn. But I don't think so. At least not much of them. So his fixes are also in my unofficial version at netlabs ftp. If in the AN version Turbo Folder feature is missing I didn't know it before. One more reason for me personally to use my builds. If Dough means he has problems with some XWP features I don't see any tickets for that neither steps to replicate. Which does not mean that there could be no problems. Simply I can't reproduce it until now.

Ciao, would you please tell how to get user agent switcher on Firefox 45.9 ? Seem not possible to get a matching version for it.
Thank you
F.i. Prefbar 7.1.0 works here with SM. So pretty sure it works with our FF too.

Thanks. Will try as soon as I'm at this system. May take one or two days.

Edit: Thanks David, Lars and Paul. My ArcaOS installation produces sound now. The outputs do not fully match when I change volume with PMUnimix. But that's a task for later time. First I've to repair my main partition on this system so that this works too.

Thanks David. Before I posted I installed latest .wpi from David from here - As previous install attempts did not work I hoped this wpi would do it. Unfortunately not.

Do you have a clue how to repair MMPM2.INI. Obviously the wpi didn't do it. Neither on my work partition nor on the fairly new ArcaOS beta partition.

Updated again to current development sources (July 2021).

Unfortunately bitbucket has changed and no more can be used with our Seamonkey :-(. Had to install simplebrowser for uploading.

It's an Asus H87-Pro motherboard.

I saw the config.sys error message too. But this is what the ArcaOS installer made. I had only a quick look at the config.sys (it's included in the testlog) and think it's the ISO ifs line which triggers this error message. Again, this is a rather fresh ArcaOS installation. I didn't change ifs or nif lines in config.sys by myself. Of course worth to check as soon as I'm on this machine again....

Edit: No difference when putting IFS=G:\sys\bin\STUBFSD.IFS ISOFS before the NIF drivers. /A:0 or /A:1 or /A:2 - nothing produces sound.

I installed latest warpin package on a fairly fresh ArcaOS beta. I still have no sound on this system. Think I never had sound. If yes then it must have been a very old uniaud but I don't remember. Attached the logs. Maybe you see what's going wrong.

I deleted the home directories and the programs directories and loaded OpenOffice 4.1.8
Now it is working again.

Thanks for the tips.

Must have been an incompatibility with the current system dll (s)

No. Based on your description it's simply a AOO problem when reading the 'old' settings. IIRC this problem was discussed here a while ago.

Destroyed calc diagrams can be saved as .XLS and they remain intact.

Interesting observation.

On the other hand one reason why I'm using AOO is to circumvent proprietary formats made by MS.

..... Updating to AOO 4.1.8 solves the problem.

But gives you the new problem of destroyed calc documents when they contains diagrams. So think twice if you really want to update to 4.1.8.

Github is no joy, either.
That was the reason why I choose instead for my work years ago.

I just discovered that is unusable too now. :-(. They also don't send SMS anymore to logon from a new browser. So without a smartphone and installed app it's not usable anymore. Even with a rather new browser on Win.

Can you log in and navigate? Or take some direct link like and do you not only see the downloadable files but can navigate to the source code and commits?

Is now unusable with our browsers too?

It worked when I tested some weeks/months ago. But this was on another OS/2 system. Now pages are left blank. I can log in and some direct links from my history work. But navigating to root projects or workspaces don't work anymore :-(

Compiling as console app which morphs itself to a winowing one at startup? There a a lot of apps which do that. Most probably an edm2 article too. Do you know about that or should I try to search for examples?
