Title: Question about card readers (SD, Mini SD, etc)
Post by: Martin Iturbide on July 15, 2020, 09:29:40 pm
Hi

I have a question I want to solve about the card readers that came included in some laptops to read SD cards commonly (some other formats also apply).

It seems that internally they came connected in this two ways:
- Internal USB
- PCI Express

I know that USB card readers are working with OS/2-ArcaOS with the USBMSD driver.

I just want to confirm that for the moment there is no way to make the PCI-e Card Readers works on ArcaOS or OS/2. Am I right?

Regards

Not always, I have one here that seems to only work read only.

I guess it depends on the PCI-e cards interface to the system. Could present as a USB or even SATA interface, though probably proprietary. Have you ran PCI.EXE on it and googled the results?
