I know this is a strange request but does anyone know of a S.M.A.R.T. monitoring utility that runs on OS/2 and shows the S.M.A.R.T. data of SCSI disks and tapes.
SmartMon does on nearly all OSs but not OS/2. SmartCtl appears to be for IDE/SATA drives only. Those are the only two I know of for OS/2 but there might be others around from way back when SCSI disks and tape backup were the norm.

I've SMARTMON.EXE v1.55 from Andrew Belov here. But have no SCSI drive anymore to check if it supports it.

Hi Andi,
Unless there was a radical change between v1.51 and v1.55 I very much doubt that it will support SCSI drives and tapes.
If you could attach it here I will give it a try.

Looking at the file dates I think I've version from hobbes. http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/download/pub/os2/util/disk/smartmon.zip

Hi Andy,
That is the version I tested and it is no-go with SCSI.
Thanks anyway.

Hi Ivan
No idea if this is of any use http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/h-search.php?key=scsimon&pushbutton=Search
The hobbes file Details show:-
Description:
scsimon 0.0.2 - SCSI hdd monitoring tool for os/2
Long Description:
Tool for monitoring SCSI hdd temperature, error counters and logs
Regards
Pete

Thanks Pete,
It does find the drives and tapes nut other than giving the drive temperature the remaining information does not look like any SMART info I am used to.
