Title: New Thunderbird build
Post by: Dave Yeo on January 25, 2016, 06:35:58 am
I've rebuilt Thunderbird 31.8.0. This is optimized for a Pentium M and should run on most CPUs newer then a PIII. Once again linked against the new Fontconfig library.
Android seems to have mangled the name, https://bitbucket.org/dryeo/dry-comm-esr31/downloads/tmp_thunderbird-31.8.0.en-US.os2-1030764410.zip (https://bitbucket.org/dryeo/dry-comm-esr31/downloads/tmp_thunderbird-31.8.0.en-US.os2-1030764410.zip)
Also I've uploaded the new Fontconfig library to the same page for those who don't like YUM/RPM. You also need http://os2news.warpstock.org/mozsupport-2016-01-16.zip (http://os2news.warpstock.org/mozsupport-2016-01-16.zip) and unluckily the Fontconfig configuration files have hard coded location requirements, see included readme.

I'm troubleshooting a crash in thunderbird when printing an e-mail. I'm attaching a trap dump from one crash event. It says it's crashing in PMMERGE. This is eCS 2.2 b2.

The crash is on the July release, not the new thunderbird build.

I can print from thunderbird without problems on other systems, but this one not so.

Any ideas?

Looks like https://github.com/bitwiseworks/mozilla-os2/issues/75 (https://github.com/bitwiseworks/mozilla-os2/issues/75), at least it is crashing in the same place in PMMERGE. Hopefully the updated Cairo in TB38ESR will help.
You should probably disable TB (and other Mozilla apps) from using the Innotek Font Engine as Mozilla has its own anti-aliasing.
