Article Discussions / A History of OS/2
« on: July 13, 2023, 06:28:06 pm »
Here's a reasonably current (and thorough) history of OS/2 from  1.3 to ArcaOS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAMT187GWd4

Nothing new.  But if someone is asking, it may be useful.

General Discussion / Microsoft to Open Source Windows?
« on: April 08, 2015, 06:44:54 pm »
My Hope Springs Eternal buzzer went off when I saw this on a number of news sites.   ;)

Quote
. . . a blanket open source license for Windows on the client side seems like a pipe dream — even though a top Microsoft exec just said it on stage.

Anyone care to speculate on the possible impact on the future of OS/2, eComm and its antecedents?

Just some little mods to the eyes.
I'm not sure. It does seems to be much interest to have a mascot.

.... or should I start looking for other ones.

He (She? It?) now appears to looking straight ahead.  Right into the future.  The Future of OS/2 (or whatever it is to be called  ;D)

Now we need a slogan.  Elephants == strong . . . smart . . . good memories ??

Could you adjust the irises of the eyes so that the poor animal does not look so cross-eyed?
