I have an Asus X55U laptop computer. Windows 8 is slow and driving me nuts. For some reason Microsoft thinks the start button is no longer needed. It makes finding things more difficult. The 'start screen' is really frustrating. I want to try installing eComStation onto it. Will it work or will it be a lot of frustration? I bought eCS 2.0 not long ago.
http://www.gizmag.com/sol-solar-powered-ubuntu-laptop/28611/ It seems like a good price for a solar powered laptop. It indicates in the article that one use another operating system than Ubuntu. I checked the photos about an optical drive. It would be interesting to see if eComStation would work on it. At $350, it would not cost a lot to try. I tried their web site but not much information there. Would it be possible to use eCS on it?
