Thanks for the fast reply! Actually I wasn't running out of memory. Eventually I was able to solve the problem: a corrupted JFS file system.  I had to run chkdsk /F from ArcaOS installation media and then remove the \home\.doodle folder. Now the browser seems to function just fine.

I finally decided to install the Dooble browser. Unfortunately it didn't go so well.  For the installation I used Netlabs repositories via ANPM. The browser starts but after a few seconds it crashes the whole operating system, the mouse cursor hangs and the system becomes unresponsive. Even CAD-popup doesn't work and the only solution is power off the machine. Am I the only one having these problems? My ArcaOS installation is up to date and there are no updates available for any of the installed packages.

I haven't used ArcaOs for a while because I have been waiting for the new web browser. The old Firefox is getting quite unusable for my kind of work. Today I decided to update my system because I haven't done so for a long while. And now there seems to be a problem with the Arca Noae repositories:
YUM returned annn error:
Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: ArcaOS. Please verify its path and try again.
Temporarily disabbbling repository: ArcaOS

And same goes with the Subscription repository! I have renewed my subscription a month ago, so that's in order.

How could I fix this, anyone? Netlabs and all the other repositories work just fine. I have also run all the Cleanup and Maintenance options under YUM Tools  but that didn't fix the situation. And I have re-entered my credentials too.

It just crashes without any warnings or error messages. When I run TBBRONZE.EXE there's a message box that says "This demonstration version of Tue BASIC will run for 15 minutes". After I close that, two windows will appear, a command window and a file open dialog. When I open a demo file (i.e. ARROW.TRU) the code editor will appear. It has menus such as File, Edit, Run, Window, Settings and Help for True BASIC. When I select the Run option from the Run menu, all the windows will just close immediately.

I've tried the demo version of TrueBasic. The problem is that it also crashes and I don't want to take the risk that the 25$ goes to waste if the software doesn't work. The demo version should run the demo programs included, shouldn't it? My problem with TrueBasic is that it runs but when I open one of the demo programs included and try to run it then it crashes. Same goes if I write a basic program myself and try to run it.

That's true. From my point of view a better WLAN support, newer CUPS with support for my printer (it's available in CUPS for Linux and has been for a long while) and the new browser, of course, are more important things. And perhaps a way to print from WinOS/2 programs also.

If I have understood it right the Sound Blaster emulation will be a feature in ArcaOS 5.1. So there's not much to do about this before 5.1 will be released? I'm really looking forward to it - the best games were made in DOS+SoundBlaster era and the experience is not the same without audio or using Dosbox instead of OS/2's built-in DOS emulation.

Do you remember which version, you used back then?

I'm afraid that I don't. I think that ArcaOS was 5.0.1 or 5.0.2 and Dosbox was the latest build available on OS/2. Windows 95 might have been the OSR2 version. It was almost a year ago....

What am I doing wrong because I can't run Scummvm?

The included documentation was very short: it said only that SDL and libc066 are required. Both are installed. Still, when I'm trying to run it from command prompt there's an error message: SYS0191: SDL12 cannot be run in an OS/2 session. "SDL12"

And if I try to run it from Workplace shell by double clicking scummvm.exe, object properties are opened.

I was able to install and run Windows 95 under Dosbox in ArcaOS 5.0.1 some months ago, BUT it was really unusable. It usually crashed after a few seconds after the desktop was loaded.

Interesting presentationis and not too many technical difficulties. A little shorter experience than former Warpstocks but it was nice to able to attend "real-time". I'm looking forward to the new browser and ArcaOS 5.1.
