I am having problems installing a new laptop.
When trying to boot with DVD, it does not see it, as if it did not exist.
From the usb 2.0, The bios recognize the usb stick, and can read the files, I have two partitions one fat16 with the system, and another fat32 with tools.
Any of the files that I select for boot, tells me * unsoported format *..... only * .cer / der / crt
Could I install the airboot on the fat16 or on the fat32 of the usbstick?
Any other suggestions?

Did you switch your laptop to CSM support in your BIOS ? You have the system possibly only set to boot in UEFI mode...

f I have the csm option, and after selecting it I can access the dvd, and the usbstick boot.
But in both cases, the boot fails me.
I attach a photo.

Hi roberto
Can you boot to the dvd pre-boot menu? If "Yes" try using the /!R parameter with the os2ahci driver

This does not work, says:
Insert Arcs installation media and press any key.
The only option I can think of is to change the hard drive, for another with the Aracaos installed and see what happens.

Welcome to the growing band of us with modern leading edge equipment that we can't install and run ArcaOS on.
You can try a new hard disk with ArcaOS already installed but be prepared for hangs part way through the config.sys (you need a file altf2on.$$$ in the root of the boot partition to see the config.sys loading)
Good luck.

Welcome Ivan, jajajaja
I was looking at your machine, and on paper I liked it a lot, but I was afraid of incompatibilities with Arcaos.

In my case always stops at the os2ahci, little else I can do or see.
Good luck.
For you too, thanks

Everybody please *look* very *closely* at the screenshot posted.
1. Danis506.add will most likely not load at all since the driver is for older hardware (not sata hardware).
2. Item two in the screen shot shows what you need todo, you need to open a ticket at Arca Noae via mantis.arcanoae.com. In this forum *most* likely nobody is able to help you. What is interesting is that it states:
Ignoring AHCI device Intel Generic (0:23:0 8086:a103) class 0x010601
Invalid interrupt (IRQ=0)
No adapters found
I have not had time to look into the sources:
I have not had time yet to dive into the sources of the driver:
http://trac.netlabs.org/ahci/browser/tags/2.04/src/os2ahci?rev=195
Reading the readme:
http://trac.netlabs.org/ahci/browser/tags/2.04/src/os2ahci/ReadMe.txt?rev=195
I think the /!R is just not going to work as advised. The AHCI driver can not reset a port on a controller it can not find.
You could maybe try (see the readme file for details):
/G:<vendor>:<device> Add generic PCI ID to list of supported AHCI adapters
101 (e.g. /G:8086:2829)
But if you want to have this fixed open a ticket at Arca Noae. No ticket=no support.

Its most likely going to backfire this approach, why ? Because if ArcaOS boots from the ramdisc and the os2ahci driver can not find the controller you are always going to be toast.

I open the ticket, in mantys. But very sort.
I see this web about ahci tickets:
https://www.arcanoae.com/wiki/ahci/troubleshooting/
It shows me a series of options to get a log file. But even if it is generated, I do not know how to get it out.
Could I modify the config.sys to tell it to copy it to the usb stick boot?
Because modem does not have and com port either.
Or print on screen? as?

Since the support tickets can be read in the bugtracker I found your bug in Mantis from Arca Noae.
Couple of other items you should mention in the ticket (I think).
* One tell in the ticket how you tried to boot system DVD or USB key. The laptop most likely has USB 3.0 host controller so you are possibly better of booting with a DVD only.
* Upload the screenshot you posted to os2world.com
* I missed checking that did you mention what version of ArcaOS you posted.
For everybody describing an issue, tell how the you reached that failure.
So in this case did you boot from USB stick or a DVD ?
