In the FILEDLG structure, set the usDlgId member to IDDLG_DIRECTORY to get a dialog that can select directories.

Hello

I think this is nice for collectors. OS/2 EE 1.3 made in Australia.

Sure high shipping.

I once had to ship a laptop to Argentina. $750 minimum from UPS. Others were more. Now, with policy changes in the USA, shipping is getting more complicated.

General Discussion / Re: EDM/2 Wiki Issue

That is a lot of work. I hope AI is helping.

I thought I could export an INF file to IPF using New View Tools->Save as IPF, but that does not work as well as I'd hope. It seems to start saving the document, but then finishes early skipping most of the content of the document.

Gpi functions are split into four INF files, GPI1.INF to GPI2.INF. You need to view GPI2.INF for the functions. If you then Save as IPF, you get GPI2.IPF that looks correct. This is an SGML file that can be parsed. Many tools on Hobbes have been written to manipulate IPF.

Maybe AI can convert the IPF to Wiki format directly?

It looks like you used the INF file from the OS/2 toolkit (GPI Guide and Reference) as the source material. But some links are missed, and they are just plain text.

For example, in GpiSetCharBox, there is an item Graphic Elements and Orders. In that page, there is a link to "Set Character Cell", but in the EDM/2 Wiki web page, this link is changed to plain text.

There are many Gpi functions -- it looks like you did a lot of work.

Neil: Interesting, and you get anything else if you run the OS/2 commands (HOST, NETSTAT, PING and ARP) by hand?
Or should the script be adjusted to use some other parameter with the above commands?

It seems that ping is returning only a few machines on the subnet. The printer, the thermostat, the lighting controllers do not respond. Only one phone and one tablet respond. I imagine if the others don't respond, there is not much you can do.

Here is does not find all computers in the local subnet, and seems to mostly be a reminder to clean out my hosts file.
It does find my router, which is not in the hosts file.

I wonder if you can uninstall them with WarpIN? They were only there for users who don't have rpm/yum.

The extra DLLs are likely from AOO-41110-GA-rpm.wpi, which is distributed by BitWise for people who don't use rpm/yum.

On ArcaOS 5.1.1, with OpenOffice 4.1.11 installed by Suntan Special, everything seems to work.

I had this error, too, except that my error message was in English. I fixed it by installing both python and python 3

yum install python2.7 python3

If you are in UEFI, then, on some computers, you can also turn on CSM support, and that will provide a 16-bit. On other computers this is not available, and you are stuck with 32-bit color.

Off Topic discussions / Warpstock
« on: March 04, 2025, 02:56:37 am »
Warpstock is the in-person conference in North America. The next conference will be held later this year in a city in the USA.

I'm curious is recent changes in US policy make any difference to people outside the USA regarding travel to the USA to attend Warpstock.

I would like keep Warpstock away from politics. Supporting Warpstock neither endorses nor opposes any USA policies. Further, Warpstock is not intrinsically political. The current USA administration has never expressed a view about OS/2.

We'd like to continue to offer the Warpstock conference.

In UEFI mode, I also have to run at 3840 x 2160 x 16. In Legacy mode 3840 x 2160 x 32 works OK. VESA BIOS in 4K mode is flakey on several of my computers. This is one area where a video driver would be a plus.

I spoke with the mouse driver developer, and you can ignore the message in the mouse control panel that says the mouse driver is not correctly installed.
