Hi,
when I attempt to play an AVI movie in VLC, then VLC will trap in VBE2GRAD.DLL at the very end of the movie. I am using Panorama V1.15.
Is anyone else seeing this problem and can report that as a bug to AN (I am no longer entitled to report bugs).
Here is the POPUPLOG.OS2 and also the partial TRP file from VLC:

The trap happens in routine "UpdateRect" on a MOVSD instruction because the source address (in register ESI) is invalid.

Traps at the end of the movie that comes with ArcaOS 3.08 destabilizing the entire system. Attached is the trap.

Open an Issue at KOMH's Github VLC page. Should be in the documentation.

Yes, I can open a bug report.
But really, the video driver should never trap even if you are passing it invalid parameters. As Dave Graser has stated, this trap effectively freezes your system to a point where you can no longer interact with it. The only good news is that you can properly shut down the system via the CAD handler which fortunately operates in text mode.
Dave Graser, would you please open a bug report at AN?
I think this problem will be fairly easy to fix since the trap info list the location and also the register contents.

I get a freeze (where I have to reset the computer) irregulary. Starting is also critical. I use VLC 3.0.2 and ArcaOS 5.0.2 and Panorama.

Hi Lars,
I had trap issue with VLC which was due to "panorama shadow buffer enabled option" but due it speed up display, I left itt enable and the issue was resolved after enabling DIVE option under VLC parameters.
Suggestion was given by support after having opened a ticket.
Hope it will help like it did for me.
Regards
Remy
