Thank you for the detach command.
No, I do not see a pwd.db in c:\etc or /etc

I think I got it to work with Alex's package, after installing the 4 WarpIN packages, I had to mkdir c:\etc\ssh and copy /etc/ssh/*.* c:\etc\ssh\ then it worked.
sshd needs to be run in a shell, there's probably a better way.
I haven't found out where the root/root and test/test credentials are stored though.

That works, thank you!

I've activated telnetd on ArcaOS 5.0.2, it runs from telnetd, I've created a few users with klUsrMgr; but none of them can be authenticated ("login failed") do you know how to create users for telnetd to auth against?

"ssh localhost 22" shows:
ssh: connect to host locahost port 22: Connection refused

"c:\usr\sbin\sshd.exe" shows:
sshd re-exec requires execution with an absolute path

For reference, telnetd works fine

I'm testing using the client, trying to ssh to localhost.
I've also tried the WarpIn packages prior to posting this thread, with the same outcome.
Obviously I must be doing something wrong.

I've installed openssh-server on ArcaOS 5.0.2 (yum install openssh-server) but it doesn't appear that the port 22 is open, does anyone has further instructions on how to configure openssh-server, I've looked through other threads, but didn't find this info.

Note I also have openssh-client installed.

I mean since it works with pec should I bother with win32s? What's a more reasonable approach here? is odin fairly stable and complete? (wine is... kinda, but not always).
What's your take on that?

I found what I hope is a working msvcrt.dll there:
http://ftp.math.utah.edu/pub/tex/historic/systems/texlive/1998/TeXLive3/bin/win32/

still getting the same error:

"Win32s - Error
Windows is running in standard mode.
Win32s can run only in 386 enhanced mode"

I've checked the settings and os2-win is configured to run in enhanced mode.

If I do the same from the file manager, I get K.EXE invalid format.

maybe I got the wrong msvcrt.dll? do you have a link to one that's known to work? (or please attach it?)

and with win-os2 in full screen in the background, I start a 4OS2 window, and type "start k", it then says:
Win32s - Error
C:\WIN32APP\K\K.EXE: Invalid format

Hope this helps

Yes, that's what it was by default.

Win32s - Error
Windows is running in standard mode.
Win32s can run only in 386 enhanced mode.

I've installed the win32s package from https://hobbes.nmsu.edu/?dir=%2F&stype=all&sort=type_name&search=win32s (precisely the last one on the table)

I'm about to install win32s, I couldn't find how to start win-os2 in "enhanced" mode, would you let me know how?
I assumed it started in enhanced by default, I installed win32s (I hope I did this right) it installed freecell as well.
Now starting k.exe I get:

Win32s - Error
Windows is running in standard mode.
Win32s can run only in 386 enhanced mode.

When I am in the Program Manager I clicked on Help and it says:
386 Enhanced Mode
