Internet / Re: Login (userid) box for email missing in Firefox 45.9.0

First, removing .dooble did nothing.  Had to re-enter my passphrase, then tried to go to a site and it didn't work.  I apparently do not have the latest Dooble.
I tried to do yum install dooble and got this:

Transaction Check Error:
installing package qt5-qtwebengine-5.15.2-1.oc00.pentium4 needs 6MB on the /@u
nixroot/usr/lib/ filesystem
installing package dooble-2022.10.15-1.oc00.pentium4 needs 8MB on the /@unixro
ot/usr/lib/ filesystem

Error Summary
-------------
Disk Requirements:
At least 8MB more space needed on the /@unixroot/usr/lib/ filesystem.

I don't know to "reduce" the space there.  Does it have to be in usr/lib or just the root dir in general?

I haven't a clue where the reports is that you are talking about.  What App. are you looking at it?  I am talking about the top menu of Dooble -> Windows -> Allowed SSL Ciphers.

Windows is not under Settings.  It is one of the top menu items:  File, Edit, Bookmarks, History ... Windows.  And first one under Windows is Allowed SSL Ciphers.

SET HOME
D:\HOME\DEFAULT

Now, should I delete the entire d:\home\default\.dooble directory or just the d:\home\default\.dooble\cache directory (which is empty, so not much point to delete it)?

I checked all the boxes on Windows -> Allowed SSL Ciphers.  Still the same problem with https://www.google.com.

Should I do a yum reinstall (not even sure this will do something like replace i686 with pentium4 version if that is the problem) on all the dependent packages for Dooble?

I have no idea where Dooble "cache" is.   Where is /home/dooble on eCS?

Again,  Dooble opens and tyring url https://www.google.com says:

Load Error

Dooble cannot establish a secure connection to www.google.com. Please visit the Allowed SSL Ciphers panel and review your selections.

FYI, url http://www.google.com works but this won't help me access connect.xfinity.com.

What is supposed to be checked on the tab Windows -> Allowed SSL Ciphers ?  All unchecked?  All checked?

I changed the ANPM to pentium4, and update the ca-certificates (now pentiurm4 download), but still Dooble doesn't work.  Do I have to reinall all the Dooble dependent packages now with pentium4?

I really have no idea what you are saying, Dave.  This is a Core I5 VPro.  Anyway, after much manual installation of things, I got Dooble up and running but get this:

url = https://www.google.com

Load Error

Dooble cannot establish a secure connection to www.google.com. Please visit the Allowed SSL Ciphers panel and review your selections.

I tried to uncheck them all or check them all.  Doesn't seem to want to load a site (Google).

Doesn't matter.   Dooble or dooble.  Neither work for me.

Internet / Login (userid) box for email missing in Firefox 45.9.0
« on: December 11, 2022, 01:19:13 am »
It looks like suddenly Comcast (email) must have changed their website login page, because I used to be able to login just fine on eCS with Firefox 45.9.0.
Now,  the page to login is missing a "box" where one enters their userid/email.  I suspect perhaps they made it "Flashy" (?)  Anyway, is there any way to fix this?

I attempted to install Qupzilla to see if it would work, but it is *very* difficult to install and I forgot I have ANPM so I was trying to install all the components manually, but I must have forgot something or incorrectly installed it because when I try to invoke it from a command line, it just flashes and does nothing.

TIA,
Jordan

I don't think I can get the source code for the Windows driver but I don't know exactly where this would be.  As I said before,  I grabbed the NETwNx32.sys file from the Hiren's boot CD (Mini XP) used on the same system as the eCS install.  It worked to enable the Intel Centrino 6205 unders Win XP and allow internet access so I attempted to use it in eCS, but it crashes either hanging at the netbind.exe or as per this thread getting to the desktop and clicking on almost any app (Firefox, scan.exe, wlanstat.exe etc).

When I was able to get to the desktop without crashing, I tried to run the scan.exe.  The system crashed with 2 screens.  The first one cleared so fast I couldn't see it to the second one which didbn't have a TRAP message as I recall.

When I could get to the desktop without a crash or reboot, as soon as I attempted to open the XWLAN monitor the system crashed.  I remember getting a TRAP 000E screen, so that verifies perhaps the problem that was stated regarding XWLAN's power control.

I have tried almost everything to get the Intel Centrino 6205 Wireless to work.  The files in GENMU load find, but the radio appears to not be enabled which of course means it doesn't work.    I have tried the .sys and .reg file extracted from booting the Hiren's Mini XP CD.  I know that some people have said that having too large a .sys file causes heartache for GENMAC, but the file was not terribly large.  I also tried one from Windows Vista which is also not too large but it hangs at the netbind.exe with a message "Exception = C0000005 occurred at EIP = 2268a".   No idea what this means.  I have also been able with various combos of .sys and .reg or .inf to boot to the eCS deskop where it hangs momentarily with the mouse icon busy before rebooting the system.  One question I have is that looking at the hardware manager, it appears that the IRQs for the hard drive are 10 and 11.  And, the IRQ for the Intel Centrino 6205 is also 10.  Is this a problem?   Any other thoughts regarding this problem appreciated.
