Hi Martin,

Have you tried using win95key to do what you want?  There are quite a number of options there.

Maybe I am the odd man out here but I have been using OS/2 since 1989 and have been very happy with the icons, both in size and appearance since Warp 3.  I don't understand why some people want to change to size unless they are using a 30 inch plus 16:10 monitor or they need glasses.  There are many other things we need to concern ourselves about, a working full feature browser that uses standard add-ons as an example - I must thank Dave for his work on Firefox.

Sorry Andi,

The 2 comers were the result of my new keyboard, it is super sensitive - hold a key down a little bit longer and it repeats, the time is much shorter than the old one was.

Thanks Dave.  Why is everything so much more complicated with Arca, ,are they trying to kill off OS/2?

One question to add to that - how do you get a specific drive letter the the usb stick?  In days gone by, before ArcaOS, I formatted several 32 Gb usb sticks and at the end of the formatting it asked for a drive letter which I gave and they still have which makes it easy to know information on then is on the usb.

The information here does produce a fat32 formatted usb but does not allow giving a drive letter unless I am missing something.  Is there a way of giving a drive letter to usb sticks formatter this way./?

Hi Martin,

I was thinking of something along the lines of http://www.os2site.com/sw/

It appears that you are making it much too complicated to find anything with your reorganisation.  Use the 'keep it simple' idea, that way people can just look through the main division , see what is there and select what they want without needing a deep knowledge of OS/2.  Your system assumes that everyone has a deep knowledge of the inner workings of the OS (I have been using OS/2 since version 1.20 and I would be lost with your system.  Most people using it just want it to work, people just trying it out expect to be just able to select something to try without having to know the inner workings).

Would the java from the warp 4 merlin be the one you are looking for?  If so I can zip it from my merlin beta CD.

Martin, I think that was for Warp 3 which might explain odd results if you are running it on Warp 4 or its derivative.

For those interested the attached pdf should give the general requirements.

No, both iSCSI and fibre channel need an initiator which we don't have you should know that since you want ti use it.

Hi J,

From what you say I assume you are going to write the necessary OS/2 iSCSI initiator because as far as I know that is what you need to communicate between server and target - no initiator no service.

Excuse me for butting in but what is the difference between the i686 to pentium4 versions of any DLL and why is there the two versions?  All my computers have AMD Ryzen 3 processors and I have the RPM/YUM program but don't use it - if I need a DLL I just download the package and unpack it locally, extract what is needed and dump the other junk included with it.

Hardware / Re: The last nail in OS/2's coffin

Hi All,

I have a way round the browser problem.  I use an ITX board with Linux and a USB/HDMI KVM switch, most of which was salvaged from the local dump (I did buy the KVM new).

When our Firefox won't display a site I just switch over to the Linux unit and a few seconds later the site is up (always assuming NoScript allows it).
