I hope they succeed. It would be nice to see a newer version of OS/2 - eCS.

It says the name is only the project name.

General Discussion / no new registrations?

I was at the Thinkpad forum and one person was indicating no new registrations at OS/2 World. Is there no new registrations?

I think this is way cool. It has exceeded the amount of money they were looking to raise.

I think this will be cool.

Perhaps replace the Shell logo with either a OS/2 Warp, eComStation or Arae Noae logo? It would seem that Apple isn't the only software company coming out with a car? (besides Google and their self driving car).

Hardware / Command Line for Hardware Identification?
« on: February 23, 2015, 05:37:43 am »
I know there is a command line that gives the hardware information so one can install the proper drivers. I tried to remember what it was but I just draw a blank. I want to identify the network card in my Acer Aspire One laptop. What is the command line for it?

I think the Arca Noae store is nice. I am looking forward to seeing what they will add in the future.

It would be neat to see an Arca Noae logo shaped flash drive there. I would buy one.  8)

Perhaps like the above (but in the shape of an arca noae? [just thinking out loud  ;D ]) .

Perhaps have some Arca Noae merchandise? Perhaps have a link to a place like Café Press to make the items?  8)

Hardware / Shuttle XH81 Core i7 Haswell Mini PCs and eComStation?

Since it has an option to install either a DVD or Blue Ray drive, it would make installing eComStation on it easier?

It seems to be about the size of an older optical drive.

General Discussion / We’re open source!

I remember someone trying to make a newer version of OS/2 using L4 as the basis. Is this the L4 that they tried to use? It seems it is open source?

This article mentions eComStation as one of the 8 best alternative operating systems you can install. I think that is cool.  8) It does not say much but it is nice that they mention it at all and in such a non-negative way.  ::)

I think this is way cool. It has screens so that one thinks one is swimming in the ocean.
