At least, "firefox-31.8.0.en-us.os2.beta_5-wpi.wpi" still works.

Excellent :)

Yes, CISC with a bit complex addressing modes.

The only way to run existing code over RISC is binary translation when one instruction expands to six instructions or more.
Then "jump forward" instructions will decrease CPU performance.

37
There is a book "Write Great Code" by Randall Hyde which explains some differences between them (addressing modes, registers etc.)

Motorola 68k was the only CPU similar to Intel.

Can someone explain please how this works?

It's "VioWrtNAttr()", an old, very old 16-bit function  :o

Hobbes works in passive mode.

= PASSIVE FTP MODE =

I hope they will not blame me for some trash in "incoming".

For unknown reason, Hobbes tends to break FTP connection leaving zero length files.

Hope they will fix that.

Utilities / Re: MeShell commandline frontend timetable

Let's call it "Click and Select".

Then, if "Shift" is pressed, — Copy (into Clipboard) and Unselect.

Yes, it works!

Would you like to add some mouse actions, for example, "Select, Copy and Unselect" when "Shift" is pressed?

None of the required hardware is currently in production, so it would mean paying manufacturers
No, no, no, it's better to achieve the same goal via FPGA, such as Altera.
Verilog and VHDL can describe any hardware.

I'm wondering (fantasizing) if it is plausable to design an SBC or FPGA specifically to run OS/2 (and other "legacy" systems).

We have a layer called PSD, "platform specific driver", it works directly with the hardware.
So right now, an on-board FPGA is not required.

The only useful command I still remember is "print device driver report":
  copy ibms506$ con:
:)
