Title: Design your own PC with Raspberry Pi Compute Module system-on-a-stick
Post by: BigGoofyGuy on April 07, 2014, 06:31:09 pm
I think this is a neat little computer. It reminds me of a similar size computer from many years ago (smallest web server?).

Have you looked at any of the OLIMEX boards?  https://www.olimex.com/Products/

They even have 10" LCD touch screens.  It is possible to build a small notebook computer with the parts they have - the only part they don't have is the casing.

One could be creative with the case.  ;D

The problem with creating ones own case is the connectors that are normally in a pre-built case that one has to get oneself. The connector cables that connect the on/off switch, the HDD activitiy light, speaker cable (and other similar ones) to the board. I think I found some at a site called Mouser but I am checking other sites. http://www.mouser.com/ (http://www.mouser.com/)
