Which mouse driver are you using? I use this:
DEVICE=D:\OS2\BOOT\POINTDD.SYS
DEVICE=D:\OS2\BOOT\XMOUSE.SYS

When you tune mouspeed, it is a combination of driver and mouse model. I prefer Rodent driver even better, however, IBM scroll mouse seems standard install, which does not want to be replaced with Rodent. Xmouse is addition to IBM, therefore functions.

Forget about changing mouse drivers, all OS/2 ones are slow. Put this in startup.cmd:

d:\program\mouspeed 4 2 7 4

you can adjust the numbers for speed, acceleration

Warp 3 was simple with the fewest problems. Still have a running Warp 3 computer.

 I need to have below at end of startup.cmd to get full performance:

if exist %etc%\inetcfg.ini CALL inetcfg.exe -set all
call d:\mptn\bin\setup.cmd

you may need a dhcp line as well if does not start from elsewhere

Tried this with java apps that spawn a gui window. Jreepad functioned normal. Jripper was OK except that Alt-Q would not exit, only highlight the button. Use mouse for close button works. Will test more. Thanks, is great feature!

Most probable reason for your issue is using an old BASEDEV=IBM1S506.ADD which had a small partition size limit. Later versions corrected this and Dani's driver always had no small drive limit

Do you have INETCFG.INI in bootdrive\mptn\etc? If so post it.  I have tripled network speed with some modifcations to system.

Programming / Re: Source Code Text Editor Suggestions

Try Kon editor: file name tabs, can adjust character width for line numbers, syntax highlight for about 10 programming languages. Can create hotkey macros.

Zed, text mode has the nicest syntax highlight, custom macro keys. Line number on status bar either at top or bottom

I use both constantly.

Have you tried Write and Set? An OS/2 version of Wordstar.
