I'll check it out. At least I know how to install/uninstall it :)

Thanks fusion. It worked! But after installing WipeOut my mouse was non-responsive, looked like it was loading some kind of daemon in the background. After uninstalling WipeOut my mouse worked again. Will have to try this on an OS/2 VM instead. I appreciate it.

So I have tried that. I have a U: drive with the files loaded up from the archive in disk 1 and it doesn't seem to work. I tried formatting the virtual drive too.

I'm interested in checking out the WipeOut screensaver on Hobbes. It looks like it was released as freeware. When I unzip the archive, there are two directories disk1 and disk2. When I run the installer in the disk1 directory, it is prompting me to insert the disk. Is there any trick on ArcaOS to do a virtual floppy from a directory?

Well for $h1t$ and giggles I installed a regular SATA SSD and I got the same result.. must be something with the machine. I do have a Lenovo ThinkPad with an NVME drive in it, working just fine.

Setup & Installation / NVME Issues
« on: May 03, 2023, 10:49:44 pm »
I got a free laptop, wanted to try ArcaOS on it, it's a Dell Precision i5. Fitted a new NVME drive and once I followed the instructions to add the driver and edit Config.sys I was able to partition the drive and go through Phase 1. I made sure not to automatically reboot, and modified config.sys with the basedev=nvme.add and removed the switch on the ACPI line. When I reboot, all I get is a blinking cursor. Tried booting directly from the drive and also off the USB installer and selecting to boot from the NVME. Any suggestions? I turned off RAID mode in BIOS and set it to just ACPI.

I resintalled the CA-Cert package and deleted the PKI folder. Looks like everything is running fine now. Just Dooble It!

That did the trick. Dooble work for me now but I am getting a bunch of certificate errors when browsing to sites. Dooble 1.53 is also doing the same thing.

when I try to install it with RPM, is says "No package dooble available."  That's the first thing I tried after reading about it on ECSoft

I downloaded Dooble from ECSoft dooble_2023_02_25 and installed the prerequsites with RPM. It's looking for qt5webw, where can I find it at?

I was able to print to a PS file from Firefox and then convert to PDF.

I gave up on PDFPrint. I got ePDF up and running. Can't seem to print from Firefox but Lotus Word Pro and Ami Pro work fine. I am using the Apple LaserWriter 12/600 PS driver.

I can’t seem to make PDFPrint work. When I print I don’t get prompted for a file name. Nothing is generated. I checked that CUPS and GS are installed and pointed PDFPrint to C:\use as the instructions showed.

Check out Redbubble for OS/2 shirts. I ordered some OS/2 stickers for my laptop.
