HI Dave, I can't make it work either, looks like there is no such thing as  libkai-2.0.0-1
I've tried using single processers and multiple processers as well as OS4 & OS2 kernels.

Comments, Suggestions & Questions / Re: SIO2K Ray Gwinn

Hi Robin I was working wirh I.B.M on OS/2.0 beta about the same time Ray put out his SIO drivers. I remember getting his drivers and I had them on 3 1/2 " Floppy Disks. I don't know if I still have them or not, I was living in the U.S. at the time and may have left or lost them up there, but I also have  a bunch of floppy's down here which I will "dig up" and see if I still have the drivers. This will take me some time but I will let you know if I come up with them. Whether they will still be readable or not is another question.

Well Doug, I did the VBOXADD.wpi  and made sure Shutdown Delay was checked but now C:\OS"ADDITIONS is aparently gone and can't get a usable mouse when I get finally booted up. Guess I'll do a new install and recreate everything. I've got a working virtual install on drive d: with everything copied to a shared file in Linux, so a complete re-do of C: will just be a small pita! One other problem with these Virtual installs of ArcaOS is with CD/DVD  usag, I've had to plug in a USB CD drive to use drive T:, S: Iguess is used by VBox Guest addtions.
Thanks for the help, I've used up enough of your valueable time, I'll re- istall drive C:

Hi Marten, Thanks for the reply, unfortunatly that seems to only affect the ststus bar on windows, I need to restore the extra one installed by Arca 5.0.6 on the bottom and top of the desktop, the one on the top of the desktop should list the options "File Machine View Input Devices Help" rather than "Folder Edit View selected help" and the one at the bottom of the desktop should list all the normal options. I'm doing a lousey job of describing this, I hope it makes some sense to you. I probably need to re-install the virtual install of 5.0.6. I looks like Virtual Box Guest Additions got de-installed!

Thanks  klipp

Applications / Arca 5.0.6 - lost status bar!
« on: January 19, 2021, 08:55:37 pm »
I must have screwed something up, I've lost my status bar. Clicking on "View" shows menu bar active, but status bar is greyed out!  Shared Directories still works but no updated menu bar with File,Machine,View,Input,Devices & help enteries. This is running ArcaOS 5.0.6 as a virtual machine.
Anybody got any ideas as to how to restore a status bar?

Thanks  klipp

Dave, You are AWESOME, Thanks a million! That not only worked but it brought back the "Removable Media Widget"! All is well once again with 5.0.6.

Applications / Lost Amouse Widget
« on: September 13, 2020, 04:07:46 am »
I've suddenly lost my "AN Removable Widget Monitor" (ArcaOS 5.0.6). This has happened twice now, the first time I simply clicked on the taskbar and, add widget, and was able to select the Removable Widget and it re-created the widget on the taskbar. But now when trying to add the widget once more, the selection is no longer available in the add widget selection list.
Is there a way I can re-create this option in "add widget" and get back the removable widget so that I can once again use USB sticks?

Thanks Dave and Lars, Dave's ALTF2ON$$ showed a Adapter that needed to be removed, That fixed the problem, but now I've removed ALTF"ON$$ from but still get the expanded config listing. I tried ALTF2OFF$$ but didn't turn it off. (no big deal!).
One last question, I used to know where to look to see which ArcaOS was installed on a machine, but I've forgotten the location, Anyone Help?

Internet / socket () fails: Protocol family not supported

I get this error iduring boot of ArcaOS 5.0.3. This is not a problem with ArcaOS 5.0.3 rather a problem with ME! I've inadvertantly screwed something up and have no idea how to attack this error.  Is it possible there is something I might copy from another ArcaOS install (I have 5.0.2 thru 5.05 installed   and working!) that would fix this problem?
Thanks for any ideas, I know next to nothing about sockets & Protocols.

Hi Neil and Paul, I've been 3 weeks fumbling with Samba on 5.0.5.With your help Neil, I'm getting closer, but still no cigar! I'd also be willing to test the new version, but with some form of gudiance   for how to upgrade.
HEY Paul,  Are you doing this alone?  If I ever get 5.0.5 useable I'd then feel better qualified to tangle with the newer version. Hows the dogs? I've got my old sheperd learning to use a Mexican made wheelchair for dogs.

Hey THANKS, Pete, Doug and Neil! That definatly fixed the problem! Unfortunatly it uncovered another problem which I'm having problems figuring out. Now machines on my LAN can connect and transfer files to the box with ArcaOS 5.0.5 without problems, but the machine with ArcaOS 5.0.5 cant send files to the other machines on the LAN. It shows them on Arca Mapper Connections and connects to the desired machine and selects the desired files, designates the desired Drive letter to use, accepts the root password, and then craps out with the "an unexpected network error occurred."
Any other ideas? I'm running on empty!   Thanks again
