Hardware / HP 1600 and eCS 2.2 Beta?
« on: July 07, 2014, 05:46:05 pm »
I have a netbook with eCS 2.2 beta on it. I connected my HP 1600 color laser jet on it. It seems to see it but does not print anything. I want to print something that is really needed.

This is one tiny and cool computer. It does not come with an operating system. The price seems reasonable. It can 'but the system should support Windows, Ubuntu, or other GNU/Linux operating systems.', why not eComStation?  8)

Hardware / Zotac Sphere PC and eCS?

I think it is neat that does not come with an operating system.  8)

I think it 'breaks the mold' in that it is almost a sphere (flat on back to make it easier to plug in things and flat on bottom so it won't roll off the table). It would be neat to see the eCS logo on it.  ;D

Zotac. http://www.zotac.com/news/press-releases/article/article/zotac-unveils-new-zbox-sphere-oi520-series.html

Since this is just a board, perhaps it would be easier to install eComStation on it?  8)

Off Topic discussions / The Mother Ship from Mork and Mindy?

It looks like the 'mother ship' from the television series Mork and Mindy. Mork travelled to earth in an egg shaped space craft. I think this house - can be on the ground or in the trees - is neat looking.

I wonder how many will see it and think 'where the little green men?'.  ::)

I find this to be quite interesting. I think it would be neat to use eCS on a tablet computer or perhaps a cell phone? or even a phablet?  8) I will be checking out the links in the article.

That seems like a long way to go in such a small space.

There is an Apple retail store and a Windows retail store. I am curious if there was an eComStation retail store would there be interest in it.  8)

« on: March 27, 2014, 04:25:06 pm »
There seems to be a new eCS computer. Could one install eCS on it; making it eCS on an eCS?  8) The downside seems that the solder the ram and memory.  ???

To me, it is like Ford releasing the blue prints to the Model T. There is also an open source DOS that is more advanced - IIRC - called FreeDOS.

Open Office is a better version of Word, IMO.
