It's in the Readme file (don't remember but something like):

Gamode add 1440 900 32

README file

As Pete said, if not !280x800:

Readme, read it.

[BootDrive]:\SNAP

Gamode add 1440 900 32

Did you try forcing the video resolution with Panoutil.exe?

Changed to the SNAP driver. Having better results now.

I was able to get a resolution of 1280x800 with SNAP (and this is a little better). Windows 10 Home also struggled with getting the 1440x900 resolution. So I was expecting something.

Have you tried to add custom resolutions with SNAP ?

Help greatly appreciated.

Well, since you already bought a license check out - https://winworldpc.com/product/os-2-warp-4/os-2-warp-452

But as Martin stated, "should wait (let's hope friday) to buy ArcaOS 5.0."

It's been answered on here search the forum and it's on the Warpzilla tips page too.

Yes, if we ignore the fact that e.g. Warpzilla uses none of my words (theirs are reseting, profile, bug and parent.lock). Thank you for playing the role of a human search engine, and I'll try to remember that I won't answer any question here which can be answered by using possibly unrelated information of any source.

Totally lost on what you are saying now, let me add you may want to search bug report first too :)

Official answer (if I got your question right in the first place).

A proper human search would turn this up, don't see a bug report from you:

Is there a way to disable or to reduce the frequency of the message "You haven't used FF for a while. Welcome back! Do you want to renew/refresh/tune up FF?".

The answer would be no/never, to not have to install add-ons and restore the UI language again, but it looks like that's not an option.

Networking / Re: Samba 4.4.x Netdrive plugin for OS/2
« on: March 19, 2017, 12:48:40 am »
Some more updates:

Samba 4.6.0 client (this one needed more source changes that the above)
smbcln46.dll and smbclient.exe:
http://smedley.id.au/tmp/smbcln46-4.6.0-20170312.zip

ndpsmb.dll based on Samba 4.6.0 is at http://smedley.id.au/tmp/ndpsmb-3.2-samba46-20170313.zip (needs smbcln46.dll from the above)

Feedback appreciated - Samba 4.4 is security fixes only now.

Cheers,

Paul

Updated for Samba 4.6, little testing but working with my Win10 & latest Samba/2 server so far !

Greggory,
Does your RsyncBackup create live backup/copy of a disk/partition (so disk=>disk copy)? Or is it primarily meant to create a ZIP backup?

I ask because I have been using dSync (dSync for OS/2, Version 0.1.6z  (c) 2001-2003 by MaDdEd-Ii) for a number of years now. It runs once every 24 hrs and simply syncs up my partitions...

Thanks,
-Dariusz

RsyncBackup/2 uses zip for the boot partition only & Rsync for the rest.

I can no longer recommend dSync (see link):

...

And if not in hardware, what are the thoughts of mirroring in the OS?  I see over on hobbes there is a RAID driver, VRAID 2.3.  Does anyone have experience with that or other software implementations to mirror drives they would recommend?

Thanks!

Sure easy & timed backups too.

RsyncBackup/2 - easy way to setup Rsync v3.09 for OS/2.

I had this setup working, you should be able to find one from eBAy (new $70-90) ! And don't get cheap, buy a new one (it's your backups) !

Get with the program Martin. ...

Bit out of line (did you just scan the title?), Martin asked a general question about Win/Dos and wanted useful responses about what programs people still use.

It amazes me all the time on the effort and great work Martin does for the OS/2 community.

If you know a friend of a friend that works on a place that may uses OS/2's Win16, please try to find the industry and name of the software that they are running or that company.

This info may be important to a company that is upgrading to Blue Lion or in general.

Also, I'm looking for the command line syntax that you use with EVFS for the next part of the article.
