I've got a 10 yr old Brother color HL-3070CW printer which is great with OS/2 & Arca.  For Scanner I use wife's Epson ET-2760, but if you just need a scanner might be easier to get a separate one.

I'm using a USB splitter for my 4 computer setup for the Keyboard and mouse.  It's a generic USB switch selector and was less than $15.  I also use a "Vention" HDMI splitter which was also cheap.  Both work fine with my ASUS B-550 Prime.

Tried, but couldn't get it to come up on Dooble or Firefox in Arca 5.1.  My internet is a bit flakey under Arca, so I'll try Windows (UGH.)

Day 2- I got connected once and was able to put the update to 5.1 in a cart, but when I clicked on "pay" the connection died.   Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
Still can't get 5.1.  I'll keep trying.

To start Arca is 32 bit so can only access 4gm RAM, but can use high memory as a RAM drive.
For internet you can either get a portable router with USB connector or I use a USB to Ethernet connector most of the time to get my laptop connected. 
As you mention you can't get UEFI until 5.1 is released, which is hopefully before the end of life on earth.

About your scrolling, I can't help as I use a USB mouse.  For drilling down I just double click on the folder and put up with lots of windows, but if I'm working on files I just use the FC/2 program as a one screen file handler.  Using it means I rarely  have to just open folders directlly.  Just a thought.
