Going to be my dogs turn soon I think. He's 17, reasonably blind and deaf now but still enjoys his walks though arthritis is creeping in now.
They are worth it, giving more companionship and joy than the sadness at the end, I would never be without them.

Hi Chris,
I have a vague memory of some Desktop background BMP's etc causing problems. You might want to move them all out of the way and see if OS2OOOC.DLL still crashes.

Remember that OS/2 and Windows BMP files have differences. Cant remember what they are at present as most of my stuff, including my OS/2 computers are packed up. PMView from memory can save a graphics file to either format, I had to save some Windows BMP files to OS/2 format to use as background images.

Sorry Ibrahim, only took in one picture.

Re the other IBM Enhanced Keyboard, and Multimedia KB's, I also several left over from computer sales, and the Multimedia ones from kerbside. I've never been able to get those extra keys working but never tried with anything earlier than about Win7, did not even try to see if there were drivers. The Multimedia USB one is good for using with a laptop while traveling.

May I ask what keyboard you've got in IMG_6067? I have the sudden itch to add one to my legacy workbench.

Looks like its same one I'm typing this on, an IBM Model M :)

Hi Chris,

Nothing to drive anything nuts outside of normal OS/2 users doing the standard nutty things :)
ok, I see why you are doing it that way.

Your options?
Finding a RDP Server that can be compiled under OS/2,
I had a quick look at Xrdp server a couple of years ago but it looks like a wrapper for a X Window Server.
I put it in the to hard basket and stuck with VNC.

Hi Chris,

Long time no see/hear.
If you can, I would recommend VNC, thats what I use for my headless OS/2 server.
Can we assume you want RDP as that is what you are already using for everything else?

Try the PS/2 newsgroups as well.

comp.sys.ibm.ps2.hardware
or
https://groups.google.com/g/comp.sys.ibm.ps2.hardware
Someone there maybe able to point you to what you need.

Hi Doug,

BIOS option related to ram over 64MB doesnt exist on a 386 PS/2
I vaguely remember something about the later FP3x's that required a fix or something for PS/2's, easy answer was I think a jump straight to FP40.
It's so many decades now my memories a bit murky on this.

I gifted my remaining PS/2's last year prior to my move from Perth to Melbourne, one was a IBM PS/2 Model 70 with Warp3 but no idea what FP level it was.

Download works fine with Firefox under OS/2 or Linux, as long as you have allowed third party cookies. Allowing 3rd party cookies is a stupid idea as far as security goes for dropbox but that's the way of the world now.

Multimedia / Re: Updated Uniaud32 build

Just to ask are there any PCIe cards that use supported chipsets for the current releases of Uniaud?

Sound Blaster SB1040 PCIe 2007
==============================
Command line mixer for UNIAUD32. Version 1.1
Detected UNIAUD version 2.02.05
Detected 1 audio adapter(s)
Card info for adapter 0:
  num: 0
  id: Creative
  driver: HDA-Intel
  name: HDA Creative
longname: HDA Creative at 0xfeafc000 irq 16
  mixer: Creative CA0110-IBG
  componenets: HDA:1102000a,11021006,00100000

I think you would need to check the adapters chipsets and ask Paul if they are compiled in. The above card works fine with Uniaud.
