Is there a way to boot the 2.2 beta from a memory stick? I've tried doing it with Dfsee's "create bootable USB stick" option but can't get it to load the eCS beta .iso.
I'm looking for a way to install the beta on a couple of older boxes that don't have a DVD drive, only CD Drive and functional USB.
Thanks for any ideas klipp

You can boot eCS to command line from USB flash disk.
Some users have bootable .iso images.
As I know, we don't have GUI version of eCS / USB flash disk.

I do have an open feature request for this (iso to USB drive).
Check the eComstation bugtracker, ticket #0002754 from 2010-03-02.
So far, without any response...
I too would prefer just to "burn" the iso onto an USB drive and just let if fly.... :'(

You can find several interested users and developers, which need the same feature.
They will update the drivers, make experiments.
Mensys is busy with drivers development and CD1 assembly.

The eCS dev team has investigated ways to support booting off USB flash disk, unfortunately we haven't yet been able to figure out a method that will work.

Hi Alex
I did have a working bootable-from-USB-flashdrive system about a year ago. I think I got it from a link on this page http://os4you.org/wiki-usb-boot-en.html - the page may be of interest if you have not bumped into it so far.
